How It Works

Basic arithmetic

Enter numbers and operators (+, −, ×, ÷, xʸ) just like a standard calculator, then press = to see the result. Physical keyboard input works too.

Scientific functions

Trigonometric functions (sin, cos, tan) use whichever angle unit — degrees or radians — is currently selected. Press "2nd" to switch sin/cos/tan/√/x²/log/ln to their inverse or complementary functions (sin⁻¹, ∛, x³, 10ˣ, eˣ).

Memory and history

M+ and M- add or subtract the current display value to memory, MR recalls it, and MC clears it. The last few completed calculations are listed above the display so you don't lose track of what you just did.

Example Calculation

sin(90°) = 1, √81 = 9, log(1000) = 3, and 2^10 = 1024 — try them directly in the calculator above.

Common Mistakes

  • Expecting trigonometric functions to use radians when the calculator is set to degrees (or vice versa) — check the DEG/RAD button before running trig functions.
  • Taking the square root or logarithm of a negative number, which isn't defined for real numbers and shows an error.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this calculator use degrees or radians?
Whichever the DEG/RAD button currently shows — it defaults to degrees, and toggling it switches every trig and inverse-trig function to the other unit.
Can I use this in fullscreen?
Yes — the expand icon above the display puts the calculator into your browser's real fullscreen mode for a bigger, easier-to-read layout. Press Esc or the same button to exit.
Can I chain multiple operations together?
Yes — pressing an operator after a result uses that result as the starting point for the next calculation, just like a physical calculator.
